Community Automation and Orchestration Alternatives in 2024 – Cyber Tech

Analysys Mason forecasts that the community automation and orchestration (NAO) market is projected to develop at a CAGR of 9.4% from 2023 to 2028 to succeed in US$16.5 billion. The agency attributes the expansion to the continuing roll-out of 5G standalone (SA) by communications service suppliers (CSPs) and cloud-native digital transformation journeys, which demand greater ranges of automation to beat community complexity.

CSPs will likely be rising their spending in multi-domain, multi-vendor and multi-technology community management, administration and orchestration programs that help hybrid cloud networking environments.

By 2028, 60% of the full NAO expenditure will likely be devoted to 5G, WAN automation and multi-domain orchestration predicts the agency.

Michelle Lam, an analyst at Analysys Mason, predicts the approaching years will likely be a vital time for 5G, marked by maturing know-how and evolving use instances which are prompting CSPs to take a position closely in superior automation and orchestration capabilities.

“CSPs will look in direction of enhancing these capabilities with synthetic intelligence/machine learning- (AI/ML) pushed closed-loop automation to allow automated slice lifecycle administration throughout multi-vendor, multi-cloud and multi-technology environments.”

She believes these efforts will depend on open requirements and the adoption of Kubernetes-based community architectures to facilitate the orchestration of cloud-native community features (CNFs).

“Open-source initiatives, such because the Nephio mission, would be the driving drive to unify CNF orchestration throughout the RAN, core and transport community and help CNF area orchestration in multi-vendor cloud infrastructure throughout large-scale edge deployments,” she continued.
